GTA5 capable desktop - how much do I need to spend

I need to replace a laptop (fried mobo) with a desktop.

The laptop was an Alienware 17 with a 980M and ran GTA5 on max settings.

What would I need to spend on a desktop to get similar performance. Would £1000 do it??

What level of gfx card, cpu do I need. Is there a website where I can compare a 980M to say, a 1060 desktop version.

Alterntively, if anyone wants to spec' me a system I would appreciate it.
