GTR 2 problem

Just got my copy this morning through the post got it installed and when i come to run it this comes up,

the demo ran fine on my pc so i cant understand whats up? dont fancy having to faf on sending it back too :confused:

Did you un-install the demo first ?

If not, try removing them both and start again.

Generally I always recommend removing demos before installing full version - been burned a few times in the past

yeh i removed the demo the other day, just installed it on the laptop and it ran fine.

Tryed re-installing?, or checking the devolpers site to see if they have forums?

Try running the configurator from the start menu - check you've not selected some strange graphic options or something.

If you uninstall / reinstall, make sure you delete everything from the install directory or it may have kept the settings that are causing trouble.

mine now and then (when loading replys mostly) kicks me out and gives the same message. Hopefully it because its a new game and wasnt tested like the rest.

So it happens when you boot the game?
If thats the case I would download the no-cd.exe you'll have to look around for that one I don't have the link anymore.
If that works then it looks like your CD/DVD player isn't reading the disc very well, I've had it refuse to boot several times myself and I know others have the same problem.
You could try opening the CDtray and giving it a good blow that's helped me a few times.

If you do use the no-cd you won't be able to play online.

The error message you get dosn't quite look like the one I get when booting though.

yeh it installs fine, then comes up with the video config bit then when you done with that and go to run it it just comes up with that error. the drive doesnt even spin up it will all so give me that error even if the disk isnt in

Dont really know but does it have issued with an emulation software? best to post on RSC really probably find someone able to help

i had same problem.

reinstalled XP and new set of drivers and seems fine now.

i installed vista on a different HD lastnight and the game works fine, guess its a xp problem then
