Just got myself GTR2, what i mistake ive made, i should have got this game a long time ago i think its great.

Im finding it a bit hard to get racing online can anybody lend me a hand
im getting confused with the whole online scene. I managed to join a game but it didnt seem as if we were actually racing.

You weren't in a qualification or practise session were you?
There is a timer countdown to the race on the menu when you are ingame to see when the race starts.

Awesome game, not played it myself for a while though.

I play with an XBox360 pad with full manual gearing and clutch. Works fine, although a wheel would be hugely more immersive.

A G25 with GTR2 is trackday heaven. I recently went on the VXR trackday at Oulton Park and the simulated version of this that I downloaded for GTR2, looked and felt so damned realistic with the G25 (manual gears and clutch).
I don't think ANYONE should EVER use a joypad for a racing game.

Why not head over to here: http://www.simracing.org.uk/ (Click on the home tab for the forums) Very friendly league with drivers of all abilities. As long as you're a fair driver you will fit in fine.:)

Yup, once I used a wheel it felt like it opened up a whole new dimension, never going to drive with a pad again.:o

I've just started playing this again and am slowly working my way through the track guides. I think I've beaten Donnington and Barcelona, but Imola is proving to be more of a challenge. I'm using a 360 pad, but haven't found the ideal settings for sensitivity yet, which makes it a bit tougher.

The most annoying thing is that I've forgotten my online password. Does anyone know how to retrieve it?
