GTX 1060 crashing problem

Hello I bought a GeForce GTX 1060 OC 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card on Monday, it arrived the next day and has been fine since. But today I tried for the first time to switch my second monitor on and have Battlefield 1 running on my main monitor whilst watching a video on my second monitor. It works fine until I try and do anything on my second monitor like pause a video, change a video etc and that causes my whole PC to crash and the only way I can do anything is by pressing the power button on my pc to switch it off. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

i5-4670k @ 4.2ghz
GA-Z87-HD3
500w PSU dont remember the name or model of it but its pretty old now.

I've not used more than one screen for a while now. My first go to would be to download and install the latest GPU driver. If you have the latest then I'd either go with Beta or I'd go one revision back.

Hardware Accelerated playback features on internet browsers can also cause instability. Just another option to check if the drivers suggestion fails.

Thanks for your reply, I tried both options and it still happens. I also cant find anything online to help me with the issue, could it be that I have a faulty card?
