Manufacturers claims for performance must always be taken with a pinch of salt. Remember some of the claims for the 1080, they were just a little bit optimistic to say the least.:D

They always are, Look at AMD's Fury results just before release, They had it ahead of a 980ti in just about everything but reviewers found the opposite to be true.
 
Yeah, why the hell do they need a FE edition on a 1060?

That's a money grab pure and simple. Or is demand going to outstrip supply on the 1060's too?
 
Charlie sez they are using GP104 on the launch units to get an early win then switch to GP106 to save money and that's what's causing shortages.

Founder's Edition 1060, he actually did it the absolute madman.
