Yes the 8GB was $229 for the 480, so this card will be more expensive at $249, by $20...
Oh but we are - as posted above - 1070's at £380+ and 1080's at £590+. USD MSRP is $379 for the 1070 and $599 for the 1080
Yeah but that's nothing to do with Brexit or exchange rates.
If you pay these prices then retailers like OcUK will simply price products way above RRP.
Because if you buy them you enable this kind of behaviour.

If you notice the article says the ref 1060 uses 3+1 power phase where as the ref 480 uses 6+1.
Hmm noticed the £=$ is 1.29 now.
I figure gibbo will be increasing price again as its fell even lower than 1.32 now.

We need to see Benchmarks really... and i bet the Custom cards are more expensive than the FE versions also, this card will be more expensive than the 480's for a bit more performance it seems, quite how much performance remains to be seen...
Probably good. Pascal is far more power efficient than Polaris going on currently released cards.

Doomed? lol They have already shifted 25x more 480s than 1080s. I don't think it's doomed.

Except the 480 starts at $199 which is a lot more than 15% cheaper

Well the gigbyte g1 is good with 6+1 but they act like its something good when it should be standard if amd can do it as standard on their 480 ref cards. If ppl buy a ref 1060 then its bad as i presume it wont be as good for ocing. Unless im wrong about what high power phase is good for.
