GTX 1070 @ 1440P 144hz

I want to do this combo, don't get me wrong i know full well a 1070 won't deliver 144FPS at 1440P in AAA titles, however i play CSGO & some none demanding titles that a 1070 can easily feed 144FPS to the monitor with.

I currently play at 1080P 75hz.


This is my build so far below.
I will be reusing my power supply which is a Silverstone ST1000-P 1KW 80 Plus Silver.

I want a mixture of good value, good image quality and responsiveness.

144hz for competitive play, 1440P and it's image quality for those casual games.

My current PC.

Xeon E5640 4.3ghz
ASUS P6X58D-E

if its just for gaming, get a 6700k.

should work fine for csgo, hell you could get away with a 1060 for that

The X99 and 5820K is for work use along side gaming, streaming etc.

1060 can't really manage that well at 1440P in AAA games.

you didnt mention aaa games. but if thats the case, then you are good to go.
