Hey guys,

Im about to place an order for a Titan Bayonet system, but im torn on the gpu.
The only option is the EVGA 1070 SC Black Edition, but ive been put off by the overheating issues that are across the web. With EVGA issuing thermal pads etc. Please note im coming into this blind, which is why im getting a pre-built system.

I spoke to OC and they will swap in any option I want. Ive been looking at a few cards:

ZOTAC AMP Extreme - Possible fan issues?
PALIT GameRock Premium
Gainward Phoniex GS Edition
Asus ROG Strix - Most expensive..

Could someone recommend the "best" card, ideally the best cooling and performance. Im option to any 1070 if I could get some help on picking?

Thanks phil, it seems to have great reviews. Have you encountered any fan issues or extreme gpu sag with the card? should it fit the Titan Bayonet?

Is it the enthoo matx case you have? if so it may be a struggle as the amp extreme measures up at 325mm and the info online says the enthoo accepts 318mm.

No fan issues on mine and cannot comment on GPU sag as I have it upright in a cube case.

Ah yeah that would be an issue! Could you recommend 1070 that runs cool and would be a bit smaller? I really like the evga look they have on offer but the heating issues have spooked me!

You wont go wrong with the strix and they are doing a free game offer at the moment; otherwise you could go for the normal AMP version of the zotac, which comes with a 5 year warranty unlike most of the others

Tempted by the standard AMP edition of the ZOTAC. The Strix seems universally praised, so maybe worth paying a few quid extra. Some concerns over micron memeory and BSOD on recent models tho, but im probably worrying to much now!

Just bought an Asus 1070 Turbo, blower design card and am most impressed by its temps, it's not broken 60c yet and is noticeably cooler than my Windforce 780ti (non blower triple fan design) that it replaced.
