I've just installed a gtx 1080 and the colours on screen are coming out completely wrong. But this is only after installing the drivers and this persists after a restart.

Any ideas?

Fixed it by going to a 4k resolution for the desktop. Will have to see what happens in games.

Must be some kind of wierd interaction between the driver/card and the screen.

if your using HDMI check RGB setting by default Nvidia uses Limited

Unfortunately not that either. Can't even switch from Limited at any resolution. It's only at 1080p on the desktop that there is a problem in terms of colours (being way out, not just washed out).

I would prefer 1080p to prevent scaling issues, but 4k will have to do.

Solved it. Switched the HDMI connection on the screen to the primary one (previously used for Xbox One).

Now card is correctly identifying 2160p as native resolution (previously saying 1080p) and correctly displays colours under 1080p if I choose it. This connection should actually be capable of 10bit colour depth but only 8 bit option shows up.
