Has anyone had an issue with their GTX 1080 having no display through DisplayPort?

Had a quick google and it seems like a common issue, ROG Swift and same cable to my 1070 works fine, put the 1080 in and I get nothing?

I don't want to go out and buy a new cable if that's not the issue.

Got a feeling the DisplayPort cable I have might only be 1.1 spec
