Hey guys, im after some advice!
Purchased a EVGA GTX 260 SSC from OcUK a week ago, but since installing it ive had a problem with it randomly throwing up a full screen of colour and completly hanging the system.
This can happen 2 mins in from booting into Windows or alt tabbing between games and IE after 2 hours or so. the weird bit is the colour of screen when it crashes is dependent on what im doing! If im surfing the internet the screen will crash white, if im on my desktop then it will be blue, if im alt tabbing then its black. Depends on a prominant colour on screen at the time.
It is incredibly random!
since buying the SSC i have changed my Mobo, CPU and RAM!
Current setup is:
Asus P5Q - E
Intel e8400
2GB - DDR2 1066 RAM
EVGA GTX260 SSC
Enermax Infinity 720w PSU
All running at normal speeds!
Have done a fresh software build, using the latest WHQL drivers, on Win XP SP3 (32bit).
Ive tried underclocking it and turning the fan speed up and running 3DMark06 but it keeps crashing.
Anyone else experiencing a problem like this or can anyone shed some light on the problem?
Does it sound like a faulty GFX card? Thought id get your opinions before i contact OcUK and get it RMA'd.
