I popped an old card I had lying around on a well known auction site this week, a Gigabyte Super Overclock GTX 260 896MB card. Started it at £4.99 fully expecting to have to throw it in the bin when no one wanted it.

Few days left and it's on £21 already!! Is there something special about old 260's I don't know about??

Probably got confused and thought it was an AMD 260. In any case dont count your chickens till its sold there is no guarantee the buyer will buy it.

You can always get a few quid for old parts by taking them to CEX and trading them in. I did that with my brothers old GTX260 last year and got £7 which I put towards a 4GB RAM module for for his PC.

I'll be happy to sell my 2 gtx 260 black editions for 1000 dollars each.. i'm sure someone will bite considering the mentality of some people these days :p

PS: Im not actually selling anything. It was a joke. But i do own 2 gtx 260 black editions from xfx.

I've got an old GT 220 lying around. Would be amazed if anyone would buy it on Ebay!

It's an ideal low power replacement for somebody who needs a replacement GPU but doesn't play games. I'm sure you'd get some money for it no problem. Not all systems have onboard graphics.

I still have an EVGA GTX 260 running in my old x58 system. not used for anything but a basic display though

I bought a gts 250, so next one down the stack, for £20 on ebay about 4 years ago. Loads of them were selling at the time.

Prices on these old GPUs haven't come down much since then. Gtx560Ti's were £50 each on eBay at that time, and you'd still pay £30+ now.
