I'm trying to OC a GTX 260 216 but there's no slider to increase the voltage in MSI Afterburner. It's the XFX version, do I need to flash the BIOS to the Asus version to get an unlockable slider?

So far stable at 702 core, 1476 shaders and 1058 mem at stock voltage.

i took a look at the Asus BIOSs on Techpowerup but none of them seem to have the right (or even close) stock clocks. There are two suitable XFX BIOSs on there though one with 1.06v and the other 1.12v, is there a way to check the voltage on mine?

GPU-z should show the current voltage in the sensors tab - tho not all cards have a sensor for it. From my experiences tho increasing voltage on the 260s didn't do much in the way over extra overclock ability unless you cooled them more first.

ur right it does, 1.12v, will just have to see how far i can push it on stock then i guess. Weirdly if it crashes by NV driver stops respnding it gets stuck at 2D clocks until a reboot, pain if ingame.
