GTX 275 developed a fault?

My pc's been acting up since lastnight and i think it could be the GPU and was just wondering what everyone else thinks.

PC suddenly shut itself down lastnight, and since then whenever the GPU changes into 3d clocks the PC powers off completely.

When running Furmark and GPU-Z i just see the clocks change into 3d mode when the machine turns itself off

Additionally - If i go into the Nvidia controls and enable or disable PhysX or
3d vision for example, the same occurs, shuts down instantly.

Sounds like the GPU right?

Do you have the card overclocked ?
What psu do you have ?

as if by magic .. its now working okay again :x after 10 'successful' power-downs on furmark.
Wierd.

Whole system is stock ..

Just tested Furmark again, no crash.
Went into NV Control panel - crashed.


This is on a clean install of W7 as well, first thing i tried.

PSU should be fine

If it were me I would try another driver set first as this could be driver related, they could have somehow experienced some curruption.

If that doesn't work can you test it on another rig?

Dont have any other PC's to test on anymore =(

My initial idea was to buy a second hand ATI2900 pro or something from a certain second hand store that sounds like a 'rude' word.

But now its working anyway.. hard to tell =( Lol
Oh well, gonna try the 275 launch drivers since they never failed me on XP, i guess ones W7 install is much newer..
