Strife could you take a pic of it inside your case as I only have a GT and wanna see how big it really is ;)

yeh that would be nice.

as for the benchmarks so far . quite nice results, but until the price drops (i know your sick hearing it) i cant see too many been sold at the moment unless you dont care.

though good on you for supplying us with information about the new card we havent been able to get from reviews, decent/average(i guess) processer with the new card. thanks.

"Hip Hip Hurray! Oh he's a jolly good fellow ....."

*beers on you* :p

As for the power connecters: what psu you got ? and also what does the card require (confused) power connecter wise.

as for the drivers, think about it, drivers (namely of the disc) are never as good, and i would almost guarantee that within a month or two if nvidia work hard, you could have drivers which unlock even further potiental.

ATI-Lets see what you have, this is like a drag race.

1x 8 Pin PCIE
1x 6 Pin PCIE

My PSU has 2x 6 pin PCIE and 0x 8 pin PCIE (Corsair HX520)

2x 6Pin turns into 1x 8 Pin
2x Molex turns into 1x 6 Pin

Was that in reply to my post?

if it was ..

Isn't the 8800GTS G92 clocked higher than the 8800GTX?

The case you have is the coolermaster stacker right? The side window, is that something you moded yourself?

It is a coolermaster stacker, its an official window bought from the coolermaster website.

Has anybody asked yet, how does it sound when under load?

Not noticed a difference in sound from 8800GTX personally.

Not sure, but that's irrelevant anyway I think as the GTX core does more and the card is sold as a faster card then a GTS

Strife212,

First thing, cheers for the all effort in benching, hope you're well chufefd with your purchase and I'm sure you already know, ignore the 3DMark06 results, they're meaningless now as they're at such a low resolution that you won't get any benefit of the 200 series cards anyway really, it's when you ramp up the resolution so, job done.

However, I'm slightly confused, I thought the card NEEDED a 1x6pin and 1x8pin connectors AT THE SAME TIME? So how have you done it then? As from the picture it looks like you have 1x6pin and nothing else or am I being blind and/or stupid lol...

Once again, cheers for benchies... what other games have you got? UT3 or UT2004? Doom3 or Quake4? Would be lovely if you have any benchies of them?

Cheers Pug ;)

EDIT right, just re-read your post and I see what you're done, you've converted 2x6pin into 1x8pin and converted a molex into a 6 pin... with ya fella :-)

Thanks for the pic. My HX520 came with 2 6+2 pin PCI-E connectors (will these not do?) and I emailed corsair asking for some more and they sent me a 6+2 and a 6pin PCI-E connector on one cable :D (for free, along with some more SATA cables).

As far as I'm away, it's like mt PSU, it came with 4x6+2pin cables so I assume that I can run two fo these cards in SLi if I wanted, 1x6pin and 1x8pin for each card... just by bolting the extra 2pin into the hole... I'm 99% sure you can do this?

Cheers Pug ;)
