gtx 280 over heating

hi guys lately i been having trouble with my gtx 280 every time i play crysis at high specs with Anti-Aliasing off my card burns right up but not sure why never use to do it before got the newest drivers installed precision monitering the card it reaches temps of 90 fan speed at 100% then the game goes choppy and freezes is my card about to die on me any help be much appreciated

Try giving the card a good dusting.

Dust in the fan and heatsinks will raise temperatures.

I did not play bf2 for awhile in the meantime updated drivers for the gtx 280 then tried playing bf2 again the pc would reboot, me thinking it was a hardware problem tried doing hardware fix to sort it, then read somewhere about this problem saying reverting back to older drivers and guess what no more reboots etc looks like when new drivers appear they tend to not fix problems they introduce make newer drivers.


ps I have 2 * gtx280 in SLI going to upgrade to nvidia 600 range due back end this year.
