Sounds like the card is faulty, although have you tried a fresh install of Windows and a fresh driver install of the latest drivers (I think 166.58)?
Also is your motherboard BIOS up to date? There is a known problem with 400 series cards with some motherboards, so updating the BIOS to latest version could also possibly solve any problems.
If it's still not possible to test the card in another PC, then give OCUK a call to arrange the RMA and I assume they will either replace the card with the same model, or you may be able to choose an alternative card. I would have a chat with them anyway and see what your options are.
