Hi there! :D First time poster here.
I've been reading nvidia forums post and none of these have worked for me, but I dont think I have the same problem as them. When I have the 460 in the machine it (hard to explain will post pics haha :D). Some times If I leave it long enough it will BSOD with Nv4_disp as the problem. Its hard to say when it will happen, but all I can say is that it will, Idol, Browsing, instantly when I load a 3D application. As of now the rig is working fine with my old 8400GS installed with no problems. The whole thing is confusing and frustrating me. I have tryed fresh installs of Windows XP twice now with no luck. Oh plus before it does this I checked the temps with GPU-Z and it said 31C so its not a temp issue. Also when this "crash" accurs sometimes the mouse can still be moved, but very slowly as if it was lagging. All drivers + Mother Board drivers are fully upto date.

PC Specs;
CPU; Intel® Core™ 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.4GHz (4CPUs)
Memory; 2048mb DDR2 6400 800Mhz
Mother Board; MSI (MS-7514 Ver.1.00 w/ Bios 1.A0 + MotherBoard Driver updated)
Grahpics card; Asus 8400GS
PSU; XFX PRO850W w/70a 12v rails (brand new)
Hard Drive; 200GB HDD
OS; XP Home SP3

Hi drakieboi, did you see this thread on the Nvidia forums whilst you were there? http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=187401

Are you sayying I have an imcompatiblity issue? But what confuses me is that poeple say they freeze ar post or welcome screen, Black screen and BSOD where as I just get that crap and then has to be power cycled. Sometimes I will get a BSOD, but very unlikely. + Thanks fo rthe quick reply.
