GTX 460 SLI Question

Just wondered if anyone knows whether you can SLI a GTX 460 with a GTX 460 SE version?

Got two set up in mine, but I can't see anything about SLI in the nvidia control panel. Need to know if its because of an incompatibility or if theres a hardware fault.

Thanks!

I doubt you can SLI those cards.

The GTX 460 SE is a cut down version of the 1GB GTX 460 with a reduced number of shader processors and texture units.

SLI requires identical GPU's and as far as it's concerned the GPU's on those cards are different.

It might be possible, but not guaranteed, if you would flash GTX 460's BIOS with 460SE firmware. Making card slower might look like a foolish move, but if it allows SLIing, it might be worth ;-)
Of course, you need to be careful with flashing as some people are not able to back BIOS to previous state.
