Gtx 470 fans replacement problems

I have a problem with my old Gtx 470. Recently one fan was very noisy and span slow so I replaced it to “2 pcs/lot POWER LOGIC PLD08010S12HH DC 12V 0.35A 75mm 4 Wire Dual Fan For MSI 460GTX 560GTX 570GTX 580GTX R6790 R6870 R6850HAWK Fan” I got from Amazon but it happens that today I got black screen so I switched the PC off, opened the case and noticed that the graphic card is very hot and the fans don’t spin. I have no idea if I did something wrong, the fans from the beginning seemed to spin rather slowly. Anyway, after the card cooled down, it works again but I can imagine that if it will be happening again too many times the card will break very quickly.
Could you offer me some ideas what I could do to fix that? Maybe I can buy some better fans somewhere.
And also how can I monitor the Graphic card temperature and the fans speed?

A 470 can be had for peanuts why bother going through all that?

which model gtx 470 is it? if it has the same 3-bolt mounting fan that the 480 has I can send you my old one as my 480 has a gelid on it now. PM me your addy and I'll throw it in a jiffy bag.
