My 470 GTX over the past two days has been hitting 60+ centrigrade at idle - no hardware or software changes have been made.
Case is cleaned regularly...
Cooler Master HAF 932
MSI NVidia GTX 470 1280MB, memory clock 1674MHz, Shader 1215MHz, 0.962 volts, GPU clock 608 MHz
Windows 7 home 64-bit OS
Intel i5 760 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz Quad Core DDR3 System.
Two displays: BenQ E22220HD/Dell 19" flatscreen jobby.
Idle temps. risen from ~35 deg. to 61 deg. with fan @ 40%. All case fans at maximum.
Any pointers?
