GTX 470 Shimmering in Counter Strike Source

As above.

Just got GTX 470 yesterday and noticed some shimmering in the above game.

Its quite subtle but noticeable to me.
Was playing on De Dust 2 map and it appears to be visible at the base of buildings walls etc.

Is there a setting in the Nvidia drivers that I can adjust to improve this.

I've not had a good mess around with the settings yet, just tried out a few games to make sure card was working.

Thanks in advance.

Hmm set an fps_limit in the console. Don't need such a powerful gfx card to work flat out on that game.

Also CS:S has recently been updated has it not?
Might be a few underlying bugs waiting to be fixed.
If not just try all the recommended settings in the menu? (I'm guessing they're all maximum anyway).

Sounds like texture shimmering issue? To combat it set up a game profile for CSS via the Nvidia control panal > 3D settings > program settings tab

Change the following to:

Texture filtering > sample optimization > off

Texture filtering > negative lod bias > clamp

Texture filtering > quality > high

Texture filtering > trillinear > optimisation > off

Played a few games on it yesterday and couldn't resist a quick shot of Counter Strike.

Don't play it very often and have the reflexes of a dead dog these days. :p

Young uns are far too good for me.

Hey don't mock it, I'm still considering a GTX 480 for World of Warcraft and Starcraft 2 :p

Hehe

Fair dos then! As long as you didn't buy it just to play CS, would be a big waste!
