GTX 480 SLi Issues

Hi guys,

I hope you will be able to shed some light on a problem I am currently having.
I have just added another GTX 480 into my system to try out SLi, but ever since doing so, I am unable to open any games without the screen flashing different colours, with the game playing in the foreground.

I am using one Asus GTX 480, bought from here a few months back, and worked perfectly on its own, and I am using a PNY GTX 480, currently only borrowing this as I wanted to try SLi, but I am 99% certain it works fine on its own as well.

Systems specs are in my sig, but this is very strange!

On the Windows 7 desktop, with SLi enabled, it is absolutely fine, watching a film in a window, or full screen is fine.
But any game I fire up, the colours go all funny and start flashing. The intro to the game still plays, as does my sound etc, but the colours go all messed up and flash across the screen.

Currently running the two GTX 480's in PCI-e Slots 1 and 2, and running my sound card in Slot 3, if that would make any difference.

Also, currently using the latest nVidia drivers, 275.33 WHQL.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Thanks

Cheers for the replies!
I think I have it seated correctly.

Does it have to be a certain way around? Also, what bridge connector should it be on? I have tried both, but they both have the same problem!

The bridge is also brand new, I had to unwrap it when I put the cards in SLi yesterday, straight from the ASUS box! Hmm..

I have read people having problems with the 275.33 WHQL driver?

Did you uninstall the nvidia drivers before installing the second GTX 480 ??

And have you check that the PNY GTX 480 works fines on it own ??

I didn't uninstall the drivers no!
I have checked the PNY card and it works perfectly fine!

Another thought, what size and model PSU are you using?

Using a Corsair AX850 as seen in my sig :)

I have everything working fine now!
I took both cards out of the machine, put the PNY in and tested it worked ok on its own. Put both cards back in, booted into safe mode and removed all nVidia software. Booted into Windows normally and installed the latest driver again. Rebooted and Voila! Working perfectly!

Cheers for the help guys!
