I think it'll out perform the 480's, but not by that much.
Should have gone with my first thoughts - that it would beat two 480's quite comfortably.

Am I right in thinking a 680 is a smidge faster than 480 sli, Greg?
With an overclock they were (and not a big one needed). I remember getting the 680 close to launch and comparing. A little unfair because of the obvious scaling in most games not being close to 100% but still a good scalp.
480's are beasts, still very relevant today, if you waited this long may as well wait a little longer and see what 22nm cards AMD and Nvidia bring to the table next. Those will surely be a massive leap from GTX 480 SLI, and use far less power etc..
