GTX 480

Disregarding power consumption and noise, yeah. Though I'd probably look towards spending the extra 30 quid for a 750 Ti.
The 750 Ti is a bit slower but can be overclocked a lot and uses very little power. However if you just want pice/performance then go with the 480.

I hope you have headphones, they're not the quietest cards :p

I still have mine from the £200 sale OcUK had like 3 years ago!

Love mine too, got it brand new for £84 from another online retailer just a few weeks ago - it's certainly a HUGE step up from the AHD4870 I had before!

That isnt an amazing deal when you consider that it is well matched to a GTX660 or a 7850 and you can get those for around that price if you look hard enough.

The heat and power draw of the GTX480 are both mental. I ran mine with an overclock and it sat at 100°C while gaming and sounded like a typhoon. :p

ha ha you certainly dont want that in your living room - mine seems to run really quiet at the moment but its not been OC'd and not entirely sure its being pushed that hard by Dawn of War lol

The heat from the heat pipes ruined my side window. It had a kind of 'rippled' effect by the side of the GPU where it had been melted slightly... :p

It also did a good job of heating up the coolant in my CLC at the time.

And I burned myself on those sexy heatpipes a few times too... :(

Eeek! Definitely will bear this in mind as I intend to SLi with another one in the near future!

If you don't overclock it will probably run 15 degrees cooler though I'd guess. :)

Its just cos I'm mental. :D
