are they good for £130 or would a 6850 card do a good job for mid range gaming?

after a card thats a good alrounder, my PS3 plays lot's of my games but like online with PC's. will not be playing BF3 online.

i understand 6850's can be had for new under £80 which would be my ideal price point, but could push to £130 for a new card if needed.

Yeah i have the zotac 560 448 core . I dont play BF3 ,but if your just gaming at 1080p its a nice card . The only games i play are BFBC2 max out , Diablo 3 max out , BL2 Max out no probs :)

A 470 is approx 10% slower then a 560TI 448
But that's because the 560Ti 448 is clocked around 10% higher than the GTX470...clock for clock, there's not much difference between the two.

What was so great about GTX470 was that while it has a low clock on default, it has huge overclocking headroom (would probably around 30-50MHz lower than the GTX560Ti 448 on the max overclock due to the higher power consumption and heat).

The 7850 2GB makes more sense at this price point, more ram, better performance when overclocked, runs cool / uses less power due to being based on 28nm..

The 560 is only a good option if your only going to consider Nvidia cards, even then under 2GB ram isn't a good idea anymore tbh.. If your impartial to brand 7850 is the way to go imho.

Didn't know you could get 7850 2GB's for £130 :D.

i always have been an AMD GPU fanboy, not because i hate Nvidia, far from the contary, but even my low cards like the 2 gig 6570 card ran all the games at medium.
