SO this is the card it's looking like I will end up getting but as I am hearing that the chance is when the next set of next gen cards come out prices will come down, so what I want to know Is should I buy this card now? or wait until the prices come down, I want to do gaming to play games like SWTOR, skyrim etc, I currently have the horrid HD 5450. I am already looking to replace my psu.

Depends how desperate you are for a new card.

With the 7950 being released tomorrow you might see a slight reduction in some prices, but nobody really knows.

If you're gaming at 1920x1080, and your budget will allow it, then I'd suggest going for a 2gb 560 Ti, or 6950, just for longevity reasons.

+1 for this post.

You might wait and the price come down by £3-4 which is nothing really.

Its just a chance you will have to take and hope you make the right choice.

It's very urgent, my max res on my current monitor is only 1280x1024 but will be upgrading my monitor at some point. I am unable to game on my current card

What about £150 ?

The 560 non-Ti comes in a 2gb version :

and it isn't that much slower than the ti card :

If you think your monitor upgrade will be to 1650x1080, rather than 1920x1080, then a 1gb card will be fine for that res and you're spoilt for choice for those.

A 1gb 6870 or 560Ti will do just fine :

can raise around £150 but would like to spend less if possible, I play games but not lots of games just yet probz something I will get into in the summer, just need to run games like skyrim, fallout games and swtor

Going by this ( 6870, 560 & 560Ti are all quicker than a 6850 ) :

The Radeon 6870 @ £129 is a good buy :

Or the 6850 @ £99 :

If you'd prefer a Nvidia card, the the MSI GTX 560 @ £132 :

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-132-MS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1341

If you want a rough idea of performance then slowest to quickest is 6850>560>6870>560Ti.
