So I've decided to replace my GTX 260 with a GTX 560ti Twin Frozr II. I think there might be something wrong with the card? In all the reviews the delta temperatures at idle were around 10C which is quite impressive. My room temperature is 21C and the card sits at around 45C idle. My GTX 260 with a standard nvidia card heatsink ran cooler than that. I played BF3 on medium settings for about 20 minutes and reached 83C... at fan speed 50%. What the hell? All the reviews people were getting max of like 60-65C at max load on Furmark, not medium setting BF3 at 1680x1050. My GTX 260 ran BF3 on same settings at around 62-65C at the same fan speed. I got this card because of the different fan design which is suppose to be more efficient than a standard GTX 560ti. I've tried installing it top and bottom of my motherboard to see if there were any airflow obstructions but the temperatures remained the same.

Can anyone enlighten me on this situation?

P.S. Just ran Furmark for less than 30 seconds and it spiked to 96C I closed it before it went any further. This was at 100% fan speed.

Mind you this is after OCUK failed to send me the right card 2 times in a row, I get a broken card on 3rd attempt? What is going on? Don't tell me this is normal because it isn't, I've used a lot of graphic cards and even the 670 I had for a brief time only reached 74C in Furmark.

erm... what is your case cooling like? and what case do you have?

does your case have a side fan slot or do you have a side fan that can blow cool air directly onto the gpu to help it cool down a bit..
