I have returned my GTX 570 after a day as I thought it would be a little future proof to get a GPU with at least 2gb memory. I "think" the GTX570 is ok for my needs for playing BF3 at 1080p and 60hz monitor but I just need morwe VRAM for the future.

The only 570 with more vram I can find is the Point of View brand. Is this brand any good? Is there a similar performing gpu at the same price range with more vram? What choices have I got?

Thanks for your replies. I don't mind waiting really that is why I returned my 570. I just want the best bang for buck and a little future proof card that will allow me to use it for at least 3 yeasrs. I'm thinking of a maximum budget of 300 squid. But would prefer less money for more performance if you get what I mean. Right now I'm playing BF3 using my GTX460 with a combination of medium, high, ultra with 2x MSAA and Riva tuner's fps limiter. I get 45-65 fps which I am happy with but would want more eye candy. With the GTX570, the game seems to be quicker and reacts more, maybe it was just psychological though.

Tomorrow's big release of new Nvidia card will shake prices up, I'd say wait for a week or two and get (then) price reduced 7950. Otherwise 580 is a good card as well.

I good price on a reduced or second hand GTX 580 is probably the best bet imo, particular as you'd be using it for BF3. The anandtech graphs above show BF3 runs really quite well on a 580 over the 7870, etc if you're not overly concerned about power consumption. I'd go for either that or a good price on a 7950.

I've used a 4870, 4870X2, 480, 570, 7970 and now a 680 for playing Battlefield games on the frostbite engine and I'd probably say that overall nvidia cards offered a slightly smoother experience (personal opinion here).

same here between a GTX460 vs Radeon 6850.
