GTX 570 WoW Settings

I was wondering what were the best settings for WoW using a GTX 570, I currently have the settings on Ultra with Windowed Mode (e.g. Play WoW and watch TV programme on other monitor).

However when I am in windowed mode with the settings turned up I get graphic lag, like sometimes you will see the game play just become stuttery and not smooth.

Any ideas guys?

What's your CPU? And what res?

I'm not sure how much window mode kills your FPS, but you should be easily able to manage it maxed out on 1080p. I run it in 3D on a 580 with everything maxed out.
If you're using VSync it may be worthwhile to use WoW's built in FPS limiter instead.

By TV programs I assume you mean media files, via Media Player or similar?

It could be your graphics card is assisting the video playback or is this problem happening when not playing media?

If both are running from the same HDD (assuming it's not a SSD), wow can be quite read intensive, running a high qualty video stream at the same time could cause spikes/lag.

I had a similar problem with media player, it turns out when media player is running my graphics card clocked down to its acceleration clocks e.g. 400MHz.
Try running a different media player program, I suggst media player classic home cinema, had no problems with this one.

Nonono, Guys I have this problem without me playing any type of media file (Just WoW open), like out of the blue I will get a graphic lag for a little bit and then it will return to normal.

I'm running this game off 128GB M4 SSD.

Sounds like some software issue or network issue. Do you have "reduce input lag" enabled? Maybe try it both disabled and enabled.

At your res with that CPU and an SSD wow should run like a dream maxed out, always. You're not even using 3D I imagine.

Is it only happening in wow?

If so try disabling addons, deleting cache / renaming wtf folder etc to rule that out. Does it happen all the time or only in raids / dungeons etc?

I think it may have something to do with Vertical Sync, and yeah it happens on another game I play (HoN) sometimes.

Edit: I have Vertical Sync on and it seems to be smooth :D.

Thanks for all your help guys.
