GTX 580 design

Is the GTX 580 the same design as the GTX 480. I ask to see if a 480 water block will fit or will I have to wait for a specific 580 water block.

Not sure if this should go in the watercooling section or not.

Some fit some don't due to there being some components that are not in the same place as a 480.

Not yet, will have to wait to get confirmed blocks that work, EK state

the reason they make new 580 blocks is because of the different mounting holes where the mosfets are. And with a 480 block you might not get good contact on them.

Seems memory positioning is slightly different on the 580 (half a chip difference in position)
They have also changed some caps for chips
GPU is a bit taller on the 580

EK and AquaComputing have made new blocks due to the difference, DangerDen not sure, someone got it to fit ok on his GTX580
