Well it really depends on how much you can get a 590 for.

To add to passey89s point,

Two 580s were cheaper and faster,
Each with their own cooling
With the opportunity to disable SLI should a game not work with it.

if u can find 1 yeh there good but only about 10 fps better than a gtx 670.
plus hotter and old so no 6XX series stuff.
and use more power

I own a pair of GTX 590s, but as the others have said it is probably best to leave them alone. The biggest problem with them is there is virtually no OCing with them. They have the same sort of performance at stock as a GTX 680, the big difference is the GTX 680 is a very good overclocker.
