GTX 650TI

Is the above a decent budget card to play games at low to med settings on a bog standard 20" TFT (6 year old)
 
a 750ti would be better. Depends how much much difference there is in price though I guess.

EDIT - what res is the monitor?
 
I'd look at used.

a 7850 would destroy that res. for next to no money.

I'm not massively familiar with Nvidia cards that would fit the bill, so I'll leave that open to others.

What CPU is it going to be paired with?
