GTX 660TI review

Their pricing is miles out, got stock en-route and were pay far more than $250 direct out the factory at China, its a $300 + taxes product.

It trades blows with 7950 and will be priced as such. :)

But tweaktown seem a bit too whiney in the review - are they reliable?

Nvidia were being dicks and not sending them cards anymore or something like that... so they source the cards themselves and publish reviews way before any NDA is up because they never signed any NDA.

Pretty reliable, i agree the games are a bit rubbish but they do give an idea of this cards performance, would defo like to see some BF3 benchmarks and a few strategy games though.

it's a shame Nvidia don't have the balls to really shake up AMD and hit them where it hurts by being faster AND cheaper. If it's £250 or thereabouts then it's only another £40-£50 for a 670 and I know which one I'd have.

Remember these are still gk104 chips, 296mm^2 so nvidia can't afford to give them away. Gibbo said they perform about equal to a stock 7950 so will be priced the same. I doubt they over clock by 50% on the core though :D

I don't see many people buying it then since the 670 is so close in price. Hopefully it will be under 250. Not to mention in the review, with AA enabled it is slower than the gtx 580 in some tests :/

Nice performer in the older titles anyway, although it does fall away a bit when you add on the IQ.

TT really need to give their games a good shake up, giving us exclusive results before anyone else is pointless unless they give us results for the current crop of games.

Question is: what would nVidia had released had AMD released a stonking chip?

The Nvidia tech guys have been listening to this at the corporate gym.

Then one just gets a 670

33 quid difference Yeah RIGHT:o

Who in their right mind cannot afford 33 quid more when spanking nearly 300 on a GFX card :p

If the GTX 660 does come in @ 250 its a pointless card lol 670's can be bought for 289 everywhere

Most of the games shown that the performance gap between the 660Ti and 670 is quite big...I agreed with the comments above about the pricing...not worth consider if it's at £250+...this should really be at £220 max.

Seriously...GTX670 single-handedly make lots of cards not worthing the price tag they are on lol

I thought it would be around the high £100's maybe £200 but £250+? graphics cards are so expensive these days I was a little afraid that it would be close to my 670 and I would have wasted a load of money.

I'm glad its got 2GB. If it only had 1.5gb it would be a deal breaker for a lot of people. Just hope they price it well. Let's hope it prompts a price cut from AMD and they release the 7950 GHZ edition.
