GTX 670 or 7970??? Help

I think PhysX is much more than just a gimmick. Alice: Madness Returns is another game that looks absolutely beautiful with PhysX enabled. Admittedly some games don't seem to make great use of it at all (even though they advertise it), but the ones that do look incredible.

Having said that, the 7970GHz is significantly faster than a 670, especially at higher resolutions. My personal opinion is that if you game at 1080p, the difference is small enough to make PhysX support a decent trade-off. If you game at a higher res than that, the 7970GHz would probably be the better bet.

In February I paid £235 for a second hand (2 month old) EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB

Its been sitting solid 1190core, 3402mem since about then and copes with pretty much anything. Got it for Crysis 3 in 1440p which is does very well with a couple of options set on high instead of very high.

Personally I would get a decent 4gb 670 with good warranty/returns similar to EVGA. I have had a few problems in the past with ATI cards and when I tried to return 2 of them - suppose that's down to manufacturers really. EVGA have been fantastic, even with this second hand card I got on ebay. All emails answered and card is registered with them for RMA for 3 year (ebay invoice attached as proof)

(not sure about the core/clock settings below I used  I havent overclocked for a while )
