*** GTX 670 Overclocking Thread ***

If you go 1080 120hz 1 card will still be enough, when I was only using 2x MSAA in BF3 my average was always over 100fps, infact I had to enable v-sync as the indoor high spikes were shooting over 180fps :p

Are the temps any different on your 2nd Windforce, or the same as your old one?
Will find out on Friday, inside my case it's cold even in this humid air today so shoudn't be a problem.

I'm also going to remove my 6 hard-drive bay rack where my 200MM front fan is, put my SSD into one of my free 5.25" drivebays once my Akasa 2.5/3.5 to 5.25 adaptor arrives. :)

In my case drops in boost clock under load are not related to temperature. I made sure to keep them under 65 degrees (people seem to say it throttles at 70) yet they still drop/increase over and over. Looking at the power % in afterburner the drop in speed seems to be directly related to drop in power. (ranges from 97 - 103 under load)

Increase power limit to 122 from 100 and leaving speeds at stock gives a good few extra fps in heaven and increase of 20-30 watts power consumption.

Newbie

Hi, first post:

Windforce 670- Watercooled under 50 C

Best stable: 1130 core/1300 boost (Gaming)- (Core +150)
Mem: 7608 (+800)
Max volt and power

Watercooled system for silent PC mainly. Would be nice to get a little boost through more volts later...

Really impressed with forum. Now trying to work out how to post heaven bench?

You have to upload picture to a site like tinypic or imageshack. Any pics of the 670? :)

You have to turn the html file into a picture. Open the html, press print screen to take picture of desktop then paste it into paint and crop it. Save and upload to tinypic.com.

Or you can take one directly in heaven after benchmark by pressing f12 then its saved in a screenshot folder.

Very nice clock on that Vito. At +130 on the core, (previously ok at +130 core, +770 memory) upped the memory to +800, got a driver stopped responding error. Still, at the known stable settings its a heck of a card. Though on first entering windows after switching the system on, i sometimes get an nvidia settings has stopped working error. Control panel is still accessible though via right clicking on desktop.

Well it's lovely to hear about everyone on here pushing 1300 and beyond but I just cant get further than 1263 no matter what.

Anyways. I'm not too displeased. Beats the 900 from my 570 quite nicely, and it's so quiet.

As an aside though. How do I get me one of them there fancy "ganster style " avatar pics ?

I'm not seeing one in Vito's posts either.

I gave up with boosting the memory TBH Didn't seem to make a scrap of difference.

+ 111% and 103 on the core is as far as I can go. The memory boost didn't do a thing.
