GTX 670 sli Problems

Hello,

Ever since i got my 2x 670's they have been hit and miss. Sometimes they will play games fine and i get loads of fps, however sometimes they will just sit at about 60-70% gpu usage and do nothing, except make me angry at threir lazyness.

I have a 2500k @4.5 and 16GB of ram, I dont think its a throttling problem.

Most games this problem doesnt matter, as most games dont need 670sli to play, so I have continued to use them in the hope nvidia fixes it (bear in mind i emailed nvidia and asus, neither bothered to respond)
The most recent game with this issue is sleeping dogs. The best part about it is that on the main menu the card will sit at high 90's % usage and over 100% power usage, however when I load into the game they turn on trollface mode and only use 60-70% usage, which results in <20fps on this game (1440p all settings max ofc.)

Anyone else had this and fixed it? or have any idea whats causing it?

I have this problem but not this severe.

For example, I limit my fps to 120 with afterburner, so my fps is constant 120 in skyrim. But occaisionally the usage just drops to around 60% each and and my frames drop to around 100.

Still good frames obviously, but this isn't supposed to happen.

This is why I was hoping for a new whql driver with the 660ti release..

Wait for a Sli profile for sleeping dogs?

It's just out, sometimes there isn't initial SLi/CrossFire support, especially if the other vendors name's on it(don't have a clue who does).

Or perhaps the power savings tied in with the stutter problem.

It's not a dig but the cynic in me wonders why the Nvidia forum isn't back up, after all it's just a forum, there is no credit details stored on it.

:)

yeah i was going to head to the nvidia forums to see if there were any posts there, was suprised to see it still down.

This problem does happen for me on other games too though, just i notice it more on sleeping dogs as it requires better hardware to run at max
