msi z68a-gd55 mb
corsair 750w psu

Are you referring to the "display driver stopped responding but has recovered" message?

It's usually, but no always, the result of an unstable overclock on the GPU.

Any other info? What games does it happen in? Have you overlclocked the card even futher? What voltage is it running at? Have you tried running Furmark and seeing if you can replicate the issue?

Try it at normal reference speeds for a while, the 'superclocked' part might be what is causing your problems.
i havnt touched any speeds its factory setting how the card came and whats the point in having it run on lower speeds when the hole point in buying the super clocked version was to have it run better then a reference card

If it works at reference speeds then you know that the overclock on it is not stable and have grounds to RMA it, if it still does it at reference speeds then something else in your system is amiss.

You need to narrow down what the source of crashing is and it's not uncommon for factory overclocked cards to be unstable.

This is a card at fault if you are running at stock speeds. This is not an uncommon fault and usually a tiny boost on the volts cures the fault.

As you are aware, the volts are locked so this is not possible. If you contact EVGA it will be quicker than returning it to OcUK but will cost more for postage.

More likely, temperature related instability, Clean your case fans and filters...If you don't run filters clean out the GPU cooler, and set a fan profile to keep it under 70c if you want the best performance.

RMA it.

NVidia have 'reference' clockspeeds for a reason, it's the speed that they guarantee all of their GPU's to be stable at after thorough testing even in worst case conditions.

It's getting beyond a joke the way card vendors are lobbing factory overclocks on them with apparently very little (if any) testing.

I kind of agree and seeing recently cards failing at the intended clock speeds.

I shall be in the process of returning my KFA2 LTD V1 this week as I cannot play any games without it resulting in a black screen and PC lock up and the damn red screen after shutting down a game. Worst nvidia card I have ever bought and the dearest!
