I was skeptical at first with people saying amd cards weren't as smooth, seems absolute nonsense to me, if anything the 7970 feels smoother. Also ended up getting all these free Bioshock Infinite, Crysis 3, Tomb Raider, the new aliens game, far cry 3, shogun total war 2, sleeping dogs, hitman absolution and dirt showdown (didn't order from here).

Wow, I didn't mean to start a heated discussion lol. thanks for the reply guys but I went for the 7970, only tried out BF3 so far and I'm very satisfied.
I went for the 7970 as I had a 7850 (which I now need to sell) and was happy with AMD.

You sir have just bought yourself the fastest GPU, bar the Titan

This thread served a valid purpose. After Arthur saw his stock 680 get stomped by over 10fps vs a stock 7970ghz he went and bought a Titan and no doubt stomped the 7970ghz as well.

Its not all bad eh.

Just pulled the trigger on a 7970, this was after getting a mental £125 for my old 5870, can you believe it!
