Hi guys I'm getting a GTX680 this week and I'm not sure on the best setup for 3x 1440p monitors, i use 2 usb powered Dual DVI adaptors on my AMD cards but looking at the Pailit cards they have 2x Dual DVI and a Display port, will i need to use a adaptor from display port to DVI or get a second card and use that for the 3rd monitor.. Thanks.

Yeah I'm defo getting 2 cards, I'm on xfire 7970's at mo but they have probs with Dp to Dual Dvi adaptors.. apart from that they are ace.. super smooth etc but I'm getting sick of random crashing and bsod.. my mate has the same probs. So I'm just about to sell up for the gtx cards. Wish I didn't need to but AMD fail again.

The problem is the adaptors.

If you use monitors with native displayport then you wont get this issue. I got rid of my adaptors and got dell monitors and use displayport cables instead.

if you want to run 3 monitors at that res and they dont have displayport the only card i is the 690.

What's wrong with 2x 680?:confused::confused::confused:

That gives you more than 3 DVIs to use

Thanks guys! I got some 680's 4GB.. much smoother and no screen tearing now :).. only down side is 1. triple slot cards, 2. much lower fps than the 7970's in BF3 but aslong as its smooth sod it :)

Shouldn't be. All benchmarks I've seen has the 680s ahead of 7970s in BF3.
