Hi guys,

I have a Palit Jetsream GTX 680 4GB I would like to watercool, I have never watercooled a GPU before or made mine own loop. I have been doing my best to look around on the net for supported GPU full blocks and generally all full blocks are made for reference cards.

I have been on cooling configurator by ekwb and it says that there blocks are compatible but only says visually the problem with that is all the pictures of the PCB even for the jetstream have stacked PCI-E power connectors where as mine are side by side 6 + 8 pin. So I don't really trust the site is correct especially looking at pictures of these blocks fitted to cards doesn't seem as if it will fit around the connectors. Please if any one has got this card watercooled or if they know a block that is compatible any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also would like some advise on what components such as rads, pumps and reservoirs would be a good combination I have a 900D case so I have plenty of space and also plan on if I can watercool the jetsream going SLI.

Again any comments advise or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Can't comment on the card, but good choice on the 900D. You could start with a Hardware Labs 480mm SR1 radiator (very good performace and build quality) with 4x gentle Typhoon fans. That would be more then enough for one GPU and a CPU and would probaby still get good temps with two GPU's. If that's not enough you could always get a second one which would be overkill to be honest. You can fit a 480 in the top and two in the bottom IIRC.

For the pump I would use a D5, with the reservior are you looking to get a 5.25" optical bay one or a tube res?

Thanks I was looking at the tube reservoirs I think they would look good in my case and also keep my 5.25" bays free as I would have thought I'd be needing a fan controller, is there any difference in performance ?

No change in performace, I prefer tubes. It would also help fill the case a little. 250mm seems popular in this case and don't look to small.

I would look at:

1x 480mm SR1
CPU block (choice is yours, EK and XSPC Raystorm are popular choices)
GPU Block (depends on what you can find that fits)
4x Synthe Typhoons
1x D5 Pump
1x D5 Top (EK are good)
1x 250mm EK or Bitspower Tube Res
Fittings (depends on budget if you can afford it go Bitspower or the new Monsoon range that is due soon)
Tubing (Primochill Advance or XSPC)
Fluid (Your choice, Mayhems premixed/pastell contains everything you need)

Any reference waterblock will fit your graphics card. I had the same graphics card and used the watercool heatkiller with no problems at all.
