GTX 760 - Kernel error & Artifacting

So I've had my 760 for the best part of 6 months, at first I had no issues with it and my rig was performing well. I OC'ed the card slightly to get as much out of it as possible and after a while it started playing up. As soon as that happened I reverted the changes to stock and normality resumed.

Over the past few weeks I have noticed on occasion when I power up or power down my rig, I see red squares (artifacts) on the screen. My PC will never boot up or shut down by itself once this happens - I end up holding the power button in. Very rarely does it happen whilst im actually playing, but when it has I have noticed a kernel driver error, once it reloads itself everything is fine.

The only thing I can do to fix it is to completely remove the card and reseat it.

I have a CS600 PSU which is over the recommended power requirements for this card.

I am adamant that the card is faulty as my motherboard is the newest part of my rig, and I have had no issues with it other than this.

Before sending it off for RMA I was hoping I could get a few more opinions from the forums, do you guys have any ideas whats causing this?
