GTX 770 Question

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if anyone could point out whether this is normal, since I've not had this issue with GPU's before;

With my KFA2 GTX 770 - I am experiencing weird Coil Whining when pointing my camera at certain places in games? -

For instance, I get high-noise coil whine when on the initial boot-up screen for Heaven benchmark / This is the same case on most games, especially on Crysis 3 boot/load screens.

Then I get reduced coil whine noise (not as loud) when looking in certain directions or places, depending on what I am looking at. It gets noisy when looking close at a wall / floor.

I never really noticed until I removed my headset, and thought that I just needed to "break-in" my new card. It is still on-going.

Any info/advice? Thanks.

I have none of this on my EVGA 770, only time i hear the fan is when its above 60% fan even then i have to really listen out for it.

No coil whine issues with mine though the Gainward one I had did have very slight coil whine in instances you've described.

Turn on Vsync or Cap your frame rate.

I have a 7950 and had similar issues. turned out that on menus and load screens I was getting something like 4000 frames per second. enabled vsync in CCC and it went away. The most noticable was when exiting Heaven on the final screen that shows up for like 4 seconds
