GTX 780 Boot up Issue

Hi guys just got my two 780 SC ACX cards today. Installed one to get started but it won't load into windows or my bios. the system finishes its POST then sits on the bios screen for a good 30-40 seconds then just goes to a black screen with a flashing underscore in the top left corner.

I've tried it with both cards, using different cables and different slots on my motherboard. still no luck so much help would be appreciated.

Another thing is I no longer have my previous 66ti as i sold that to boost my funds for these, so i cant reinstall it and check anything :/ (idiotic i know)
System specs:
i7 3820
Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3
16Gb Giel enhance corsa
Cooler Master M2 silent pro 1000w PSU

Pretty sure I do, I have f11 as the f12 is a beta

Seems there are a lot of issues with motherboards not accepting titan and 780 cards.

You should always have a backup gpu. Maybe you could get a cheap one on fleabay for £20. I have a gtx460 just in case

Have many people had luck using the f12 bios on a UD3 board for this problem?

Try the other GTX780? could be the first one is duff.

Can't you use the on CPU gfx to boot into the bios?

The latest beta will fix your problem, unfortunately it will introduce some others (nothing system breaking though - see here). I have the same board and had exactly the same issue. I was sent the very latest beta from Gigabyte which is more recent than the one publicly available if you want it.

Yeah that would be great, I'd just have to figure out how to flash it without the cards installed or should i get a cheap card to use?
