Gtx 780 sli gpu usage drops card 1

Hello,

I cant find the reason for a 20 % drop in gpu usage on card 1 when running a benchmark like unigin heaven.
It only happens after some minutes. Both cards start at.98 % usage.
Card 1 is rated at 1032mhz and is around 3 degrees colder than card 2(bottom). Card 2 is rated at 1019mhz. Both are identical msi twin frozr 780. No overclock.
After a while card 1 drops to 80% usage at 79 degrees. Card 2 is then actually at 81 degrees and throttling slightly. I have a 4930k at 4.5 ghz.
 
79c is usually the default threshold when the card starts to throttle to keep it under or at that same temp. You can override it using MSI afterburner or EVGA precision.
