***GTX 780 Ti Owners Thread***

All that science about heat and everything goes above my head but the heat coming from the case on an intensive game wasn't what I was expecting. I expected it to be cooler with water but that science thing tells me otherwise.

TR 3D FTW!!!

No where for the heat to go I guess mate. No blower to put it out the back of the case, so all the ambient heat just rises through the top rad on mine. Put my hand above the top of the 900D and it was pretty damn toasty. Makes the cat want to sit on it as well which does my nut in :D

It certainly gets the cards warm :(

It's TressFX from what I've read that puts the load up some, but it's worth it ;) (no pun intended)

Why is it that sometimes after gaming my card wont down clock its self and will stay at 1000 mhz and 50 degrees, but sometimes it will idle and cool down to about 30-35?

Sometimes GPUZ doesn't capture changes instantly, best to see where your voltage is, if it's 0.9v or less, chances are it has down-clocked, but clocks do fluctuate, same with CPU, CPUZ and changing core speed, if the volts are low, it's still in idle mode..

Thanks for the reply, yer I thought it might not be 100% accurate. I also killed some of my background processes (a windows 8 app that was running and I didn't know) and that seems to have settled it back down.

 EVGA Bridge to complete the trio.

Well, I'm selling my reference card and have bought a Palit Jetstream :) Got a good deal on it. From the reviews I've read the cooler is excellent, I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do.

Just got my Palit 780 Ti Jetstream. Pretty happy with it :) Clocks slightly higher than my EVGA card, but runs at ridiculously low temps for air. It only hit 66C at 1275Mhz
