Hi all,
I am interested in this graphics card. It looks pretty amazing to me. Has anyone got any experience with this card? Is it really worth the price tag? Im going to run it with a 3770k which I hope should cope with most games well. I will be plugging it to a Z77 sabertooth board, I dont see any problems with this. I am also going to get a Full tower case so should fine.

Any help appreicated.

If you're worried a little by the price, perhaps research GTX 770, they are great cards and boost really well from what I've seen.Worth a look.

I wouldn't go for that one, the KFA2 and EVGA cards that are on offer would be a better choice.

Ok thanks, I will look into it

Thanks mate, I did look at them. The also look like very solid cards. I should probably look up how much more perfomance Im really getting with 780 compared to the 770.

Exactly, price/performance are a big thing for me, over paying for something then finding out a cheaper card runs the same or slightly worse is a kick in the pants lol Can't hurt to wait a little longer so you can make an informed decision.

It's an absolute beast. Haven't looked back since getting mine. Runs everything I throw at it at 1080/1400p

I love My MSI GE 770, running 3 monitors off it, and I've only had to sacrifice a small percentage of quality, in the form of running between high/Ultra settings to run over 60fps, and most of the time it runs well over that.

Looking forward to going SLI with them, wont be this month as i'm going to Eurogamer, but hopefully next month.

OR
if you want more performance and pay less you could go for Sli or Crossfire.

2xGTX 670 or 2x HD 7950 would be cheaper, around £400.00 for a pair and would be Faster.

I have 2x 7950s, with the same CPU and MB as you... I cannot complain.

Thanks for the input mate, I think this card should be mine.

Good idea, I think I would rather stick with one amazing card rather than two very good cards just because it gives me options. Also I have never used SLI and I dont need to need anymore brain ache. Thanks for taking the time though mate.

Well thats what I thought???

It is a good looking card and no doubt cools well, but their warranty is something I'd worry about.

I wouldn't pay 60 quid more for that over the EVGA and KFA2 cards on offer. The KFA2 in terms of overclocking is probably only beaten by the classified and lightning.

Absolute beast out of the box clocks and no doubt boosts higher than that standard if you keep it cool.

KFA2 have UK based RMA as well so quick turnaround should anything go wrong, they used to be BFG who were notorious for their good nvidia cards.

This is some good info mate, Thanks a lot. At least I know its gonna be a GTX780 without a doubt.

You will have no issues i have a 3570k at 4.5 ghz msi gtx 780 lighting and it runs as sweet as a nut bf3 ultra everything 110 fps on 64 person map and gpu usage is always around 99 percent so my cpu isnt bottle necking it :)

It looks like a great card. The main game I will be playing will be Rome Total war 2 once I get it.

No need for a GTX in Rome

If you have other games in mind then sure, splash the cash but Rome is a CPU bound simulator so the GPU doesn't work hard.

7850/660 should be fine to max out.

Im no expert on the matter but I would have assumed the battle scenes @ 1920 x 1080 with graphics full would give any card a little scare. The level of detail looks amazing. Could be wrong im not sure to be honest. It doesnt affect my desicion though I am going for this card. Thnanks anyway mate.
