just received my msi gtx 970 a few days ago and im really pleased with it - no coil whine and a massive upgrade from my gtx 460  yes i waited that long...

anyway today i thought i would hook up an old monitor and im having some troubles.

my main monitor is using the dvi-i just fine. i have my second monitor (via a dvi-d to vga adapter) plugged in below. windows recognizes the brand and size but the actual display stays black awaiting signal. i can drag windows over to it but they still dont appear. am i missing something?

is anyone else experiencing this or anything similar? i have seen a few posts elsewhere with people experiencing this on gigabyte cards but it seems the consensus is that its a driver issue. any advice much appreciated. has anyone rma'd because of this?

Yes i had this problem with both of my cards.now sent back . My cards were connected via displayport and sometimes when I turned on pc I would have to face the black screen on start up I had to reset pc 10 times at one point to get into windows .I then went about testing each card on its own and they both had the same problem, my gtx titan works fine with no problems whatsoever with displayport. Besides this it had other small problems.

My monitor on dvi comes up straight away, my other monitor on the display port doesnt show until in windows, it just keeps flashing the input in the corner. But then all works fine

it looks like its on but it wont display anything. i can drag windows half over it and they stay there so my pc thinks its working ok but its not :( dont want to have to return but i will have to i think.
