GTX 970 Memory Clock Confusion?

Hey all, I just got a MSI Gaming GTX 970 today and I did a benchmark in Unigine Valley. It said my memory clock speed was 3905Mhz and I thought the memory clock speed was 7000Mhz? Is this normal or have I got a bad card?

Every game I've tested seems to be fine but I'm just curious/Worried.
