Is it possible to have a GTX 980 build for £1000-£1200? I have mouse keyboard monitor etc just need the the desktop, i would like mini ITX/ATX but also would not mind mid tower size.

Whats the cheapest 980 build I can get without compromising too much on other components?

Or would you recommend spending more on everything else and going down to GTX970?

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, big ones.

I like a big one — a giant noctua or bequiet perhaps. I'd definitely sort get a bigger SSD or chuck in a large standard HDD because I can tell you from experience 120GB won't get you far! That case those is lovely and I think the suggested build is good.

No.

As you need itx sized boards and in the case of the Silverstone a SFX sized PSU, the cooler is too big, the gfx card is probably too big to.

Bitfenix do mATX versions of that case.

You can fit coolers upto 200mm tall, so you can get a biiger one in there and perhaps in a nice black cooler such as BeQuiet.

The PSU, there are better ones for less, Superflower HX750 is on offer.

if you were spending £1200 max i would get this depending on what gpu you want

Just use the stock cooler which comes with the cpu, should keep temps below 60 degrees. its a bit above your budget but in return you get an I7, 16GB of ram, SSD and a 980. if you want to remain below your budget with a cpu cooler then i'd go for something like this (below)

1 x ACX EVGA CPU cooler, Black - 120 mm £33.60
Total : £1,170.01 (includes shipping : £11.25).

This one has an i5 instead of an i7, and uses a cpu cooler and remains below your budget, if you were to get a 290x instead of a 980 then you can minus £200 of the above builds to bring costs down more, and even add a cooler to the first build

*added the cpu and mobo bundle in*
